Certificate of Inspection of Hidden Works

Waterproofing, reinforcement, insulation, pipework in walls — once covered by the next layer, they can no longer be checked. The hidden works certificate records that they were inspected and accepted before covering. Fill in the form and get a document in the customary structure.

What the certificate records

  1. The works presented for inspection.
  2. The design documents they were performed to — code and sheet numbers.
  3. Materials used and their quality certificates.
  4. Start and end dates.
  5. Compliance with the design and building regulations.
  6. Permission to carry out the next works.

Practical rules

Sign the certificate before the works are covered — never afterwards from memory. Attach material certificates and, where relevant, as-built drawings and test reports. One certificate covers one type of work in one area; don't combine waterproofing and reinforcement on different floors into one document.

Official forms

In Kazakhstan, Russia and Ukraine the content of this certificate is set by construction regulations, and many clients require a specific form. This template follows the customary structure and is marked as a sample. If your client or technical supervisor has an approved form, upload it under "Approved form" and the generator will fill it in.

Frequently asked questions

Which countries is this available for?

All countries. The structure follows the post-Soviet form used in Kazakhstan, Russia and Ukraine; elsewhere use it as an inspection record and check it against the forms required on your project.

Who signs it?

At minimum the contractor's representative and the client's technical supervisor. On some projects the designer's supervisor also signs.

Can I prepare several certificates quickly?

Yes. The site and parties stay filled in within the tab, so you only change the works and dates.

Is it legally sufficient?

It is a template. Check it against the form required on your project before signing.

This page and the generated documents are templates, not legal advice. See the Disclaimer.
