Service Agreement Template

A short, clear service agreement saves weeks of arguing later. Describe the services, the period and the price, choose the payment terms, and get an agreement with all the standard sections — and a link to create the completion certificate from it.

The sections that matter

  1. Subject — what exactly will be done. One service per line.
  2. Term — start and end dates.
  3. Price and payment — the amount and when it is due: prepayment, payment after acceptance, or an advance plus balance.
  4. Acceptance — how the work is accepted and how many days the client has to sign or object.
  5. Liability, force majeure and disputes — standard clauses that apply when things go wrong.

Choosing payment terms

For a new client, an advance of 30–50% is a reasonable protection. "Payment after the certificate is signed" works well with long-term clients. Whatever you choose, write the number of days — "within 5 business days" — rather than "promptly".

One agreement, three documents

After the agreement is created you can press "Create an act for this contract" or "Write a claim for this contract". The new document opens with the parties, contract number, services and amount already filled in, so the whole chain stays consistent.

Frequently asked questions

Is this agreement suitable for freelancers?

Yes. Freelancers and sole traders use it for one-off and ongoing services. For employment-like relationships, use an employment contract instead.

Can I add my own clauses?

Use the "Special terms" field, or edit the text directly on the page after it is generated.

Which law applies to the agreement?

The template is written for the country you select. If the parties are in different countries, add a clause on governing law in "Special terms".

Can I download it as PDF?

Download the Word file and save it as PDF from Word, or use "Print" and choose "Save as PDF".
